A 6-week progressive class series to alleviate chronic low back pain and to prevent future injuries caused due to common postural & movement habits and habitual patterns. Back pain is one of the most frequent causes of activity limitation in people. However, 95% of all back problems are organic, meaning that they are the result of sprains due to common postural and movement habits that can easily be addressed through yoga. The Healing Yoga for Low Back Pain is derived from a science backed program. By bringing attention to the muscular dysfunction, imbalance, postural asymmetries & alignment, breath awareness and mindful movements, this program effectively addresses the problem of chronic low back pain. Some of the lower back conditions addressed in this program are- • Those recovering from bulging or herniated disc • Hypo mobility and hyper mobility of lumbar • Mild Degenerative disk • S.I. strain or instability • Pelvic misalignment • Mild scoliosis This 90 minute program is interactive where we discuss little about the anatomy of the Back body, identifying and bringing awareness to the core muscles that plays an important role in having a healthy Back. We bring focus to the key elements of how to support the low back and learn- 1. The various techniques of how to access and engage the major core muscles 2. Stretching and strengthening the stabilizer muscles and the supporting muscles with gentle asana practice 3. Work on the breathing techniques to reduce stress and bring deep relaxation 4. Five asana practices of 30 minutes given for home practice(pdf) Please Note: The exact location of the place will be shared upon registration.

Cancellation Policy
If you sign up and pay for any YogaSheila activity and are unable to attend please contact us to cancel at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time. You receive a refund minus a 15% fee, or you can get a full refund credited to your YogaSheila studio account (this credit can be used toward any purchase for up to 6 months). If we receive your cancellation request less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the activity, a refund minus 25% deducted from the payment. Cancellation requests must be made by email to: jyoti@yogasheila.com If you cancel on the day of or after the program has taken place, a refund minus 40% will be deducted from the payment. There are no make-up class or discount for any missed classes. An activity could occasionally be cancelled by the studio if there’s insufficient interest, or if a teacher has an emergency. If cancelled you will be notified by email as soon as possible, and you will receive a full refund or full credit toward your YogaSheila Studio account if you choose.
