Service Description

A state of life free from pain, fear, and sorrow, and infused with joy and tranquility. The ancient yogis called this state Vishoka and insisted that we all can achieve it. Patanjali the author of Yoga Sutra, elaborated on this system Vishoka, a space of consciousness where sorrow, fear, anger, doubt does not exist. The Patanjali Sutra: विशोका वा ज्योतिष्मती II३६II Visoka va Jyotismati 1:36 Visoka=Blissful(Sorrowless); va=or; Jyotismati=Internal SupremeLight Vishoka Meditation shares the essence of ancient source texts including the Yoga Sutra, Lotus Sutra, and Shiva Sutra. This sutra was later elaborated using the term Vishoka, sorrowless joy. Vishoka Meditation means "meditation on the lotus of the heart leading to sorrowless joy." Swami Rama shared a profound insight: "Meditation does that which nothing else can- It introduces you to yourself." Upon finding the inner connection, we discover the key to awakening our full human potential. This is the promise of Vishoka Meditation. "Vishoka Meditation is taught in three successive stages: first, learning how to direct the mind inward; second, discovering the wealth of our mind-siddhis extraordinary powers, and third, attaining the fullness and wisdom of Sri Vidya- a highly sought experience of ancient masters. Each stage of Vishoka meditation is the gateway to the next stage. Without gaining proficiency in the first stage, the second stage is mere fantasy, and the third stage is further refinement of the second stage. When and how we reach stages two and three is not a question to ponder upon now. In this program you will be introduced to the first stage of Vishoka Meditation. The practice comprises of a set of preparatory practices: breath training, breath-led asanas, systematic relaxation, and meditative pranayama designed to unite mind and breath and turn them inward, leading us towards the main body of Vishoka Meditation. Note: No prior yoga or meditation experience is required to attend this program. However, a regular practice is strongly recommended, and practitioners will be guided step by step, so that they can have a regular home practice. Come with a beginner's mind, with no prior expectation to achieve anything; And come with lots of patience!
